from the Dold for Congress campaign
Northfield, IL – Robert Dold, Republican candidate for Illinois’ 10th Congressional District, today is calling on his Republican opponent, liberal State Representative Beth Coulson, to cut ties with SEIU after Congressman Mark Kirk’s recent revelations of SEIU’s deep ties to the corrupt group ACORN.
Coulson was endorsed by Service Employees International Union (SEIU) in her State Representative campaign in 2008, and until recently proudly displayed the endorsement on her Congressional website. It was taken down after Republican activists expressed their outrage. Coulson has received numerous donations from the corrupt group totaling thousands of dollars throughout her career.

Despite what the left-wing media has claimed, Illinois has an ACORN problem. The corruption that has plagued our state for decades is due to corrupt groups like ACORN and its affiliates like SEIU. These groups are wasting millions of our hard earned tax dollars and our leaders in Springfield, including our Governor Pat Quinn, have strong ties to ACORN. This continuing plague of corruption seems difficult to fight but here's how you can take the first step in ending corruption in Illinois.
Join us on Thursday Night as we launch our Illinois based grassroots movement called Say NO to ACORN. Here are the details:

from the Proft for Governor campaign
Chicago, Illinois - In response today to the United States Supreme Court's writ of certiorari in the case of McDonald v. Chicago, a case centering on the constitutionality of the City of Chicago municipal handgun ban, conservative Republican gubernatorial candidate Dan Proft issued the following statement:
"I look forward to the day when residents of Chicago will be given their full complement of Constitutional rights, including the individual right to the means of self-protection. Given the Supreme Court's recent decision in the Heller case in which the Court clearly held that the right to keep and bear arms is an individual right, I cannot see how municipal gun bans like that in Chicago can pass constitutional muster.

Fox News host and radio personality Glenn Beck recently released his new book called Arguing With
Idiots.
I would like to personally congratulate Glenn for becoming the
conservative-equivalent of Terrell Owens. You know, the NFL wide
receiver who's exceptional talent is only exceeded by his antics on and
off the field. And the result? We remember him for his ridiclous
personality instead of his unnatural acts of greatness as receiver.
Like
Terrell, Glenn is incredibly talented at gathering facts and examples
to advance Conservatism. However, the title of this book along with the
cover photo will do more to hurt Conservatism than it helps. It allows
Democrats and their willing accomplices in the media to focus not on
the important issues addressed in the book or on his shows. Instead, it
allows them to focus on him calling millions of Americans idiots. This
presents them another excuse to avoid debating and reporting on the
substance of the issues, and Democrats are terrific at focusing on the
messenger and not the message.
