In response to speculation that the Schillerstom gubernatorial campaign may have inflated the number of people who watched his announcement live on the internet, campaign director Brad Hahn provided Illinois Review a report from their web team.
According to Hahn, "The total number comes from adding the Livestream and Schillerstrom camera (another way to view event). That total is actually 2,970 but we went with “at least 2,900” so as not to inflate. We will continue to try different approaches to reach new audiences and build on this initial success..."

i really didnt believe they were making up the numbers, because there is no upside for them. so i am happy they cleared this up. i had never really met bob, but he has been down by me a couple times in the last 10 days and i was pleasantly surprised at his grasp of issues impacting my area. dont count this as an endorsement just yet, but so far so good in my book

There are plenty of traffic generators out there, 5hits.com, 10khits, search for "web traffic generation", it isn't hard or very expensive.

Traffic generators... or they had 2900 ppl watching. It's not that hard to believe. I think it's more incredible that IR even spent any time writing on this.

He didn't have 2900 people watching live, itd burn down his webhost. One server cannot handle that much simultaenous traffic. Look up web hosting plans and see how much it would cost for 3 TB of bandwidth and realize he is claiming to have done that in a single hour in a single day.
He's just another numbers cooker... Just what we need, more Madoff math.

How many prosecutors work in the United States Attorney's Office for the
Northern District of Illinois?

So, we in Kane County now know where Brad Hahn went. Hahn used to be on Denny Hastert's staff. Read into it what you may.

Means that Ethan Hastert isn't interested in his dad's staffers and Schillerstrom picked him up. That's all it means.

Some of Hastert the Elder's staffers will also appear as Hastert the Younger's staffers. It always works that way.
The taxpayers of Kane County will hopefully now be relieved of the burden of Karen McConnaughay's placing of Brad Hahn on the Kane County payroll as a "Spokesman" to keep him paid between political cycles.

I agree thst brad hahn is a pain in the ass, but unlike anyone on this board he is on a short list of talented press people in illinois. I am no huge fan of his, but he is certainly in a professional class above the likes of mr. Zahm.
