The Daily Herald has posted the following:
Democratic state Rep. Paul Froehlich of Schaumburg has announced he won't run for re-election next year.
Implying that another political opportunity may present itself either before or after the end of his current fourth term, Froehlich said he wants to make his decision public before the start of the primary petition period on Aug. 4.
The story does not refer to concerns that have been raised here on Illinois Review about Froehlich's practice of offering to intercede on lower property tax assessments on constituents' behalfs, but only the fact that Froehlich switched parties from Republican to Democrat in 2006.

There is a recent bill passed that what Froehlich did with his brother, transport campaign signs with a school bus is now a class IV felony. He better not be running for Illinois Senate or any other elected office, because this will surely be brought to light. I hope that he also gets reported to the Cook County States Attorney for other things he's done in the past, and Lisa Madigan, Attorney General and the office of professional standards which will revoke his Assessor's license if it is still active.
This scum deserves to be behind bars for a very long time.

The legislation is St. Rep. Randy Ramey's HB4565 -- ELECTONS-SCHOOL PROPERTY.
The Capitol Fax blog by Rich Miller states Froehlich was "hit hard by Chicago's Fox TV station for using constituent property tax assessment appeals to boost his campaigns"...
I guess that's what happens when you let your "ego" and your "attitude" get too big!

He is trying to save Face before the next Fox News report comes out that would bury him! I just hope the deal makers that are helping him get his new job to shut him up before he really hurts Lisa and her chances get caught with him!!

Madigan must have run a poll showing that Froehlich would cost him too much in 2010.

Too bad Miller and Peterson aren't man enough to give some credit to Judy McCurdy and Illinois Review.

What republicans are interested in this seat?

Eastsider- Ryan Higgins is raising money and going door to door, but he hasn't made a formal announcement yet. I'm not sure when that will come.
