This is the sound of one shoe dropping.
The second shoe will be the post he is rewarded with by President Obama (and he will be confirmed by the Senate) in January 2011. How does Ambassador Burris sound?
You can bet your bippy that Senator Roland is looking for another engraving to put his tombstone.

After several defeated efforts, Sen. Sessions finally won over a majority of his colleagues. They agreed with him that illegal aliens should not get jobs created with federal tax dollars.
But this Wednesday morning, the tabling motion failed 44-53. Fortunately the amendment then passed on a voice vote.
Twelve Democrats and one Independent defied the Democratic Party leadership and voted with all 40 Republicans to:
1.) permanently authorize E-Verify, so the pro-amnesty forces can't constantly threaten to kill it if they don't get their way
2.) require all federal contractors to use E-Verify so returning veterans and other unemployed Americans will get jobs created with federal tax money.
When I consider what Senators Durbin and Burris did I'm still unable to comprehend their actions. They opposed the amendment. The state of Illinois's unemployment rate for the month of May is 10.1%. And it will only20be higher for the month of June. Yet Senators Durbin and Burris were compelled to oppose the amendment, leaving legal unemp loyed Illinois citizens to compete with ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS for jobs. They stabbed the unemployed Illinois worker in the back, E-verify is a good thing; it's the fair and lawful thing to do! Dump Durbin and Burris, they have forgotten who they represent, they kicked us under the bus!
