It's hard to believe, but the 2010 campaign season is already starting up and Illinois Review is honored to be a place where it's begun. Our first political advertisement of the 2010 campaign is that of Republican gubernatorial candidate Adam Andrzejewski, who announced his intentions March 1 at his parents' home in Kankakee County's Herscher. We roll out that ad today on IR's right hand column.
Visit Adam's website HERE and get acquainted with him in his one-on-one video interview HERE. He's eager to hear from you and he's ready to work for the good of Illinois. Andrzejewski's bold initiative in challenging the status quo and his fearless energy in taking on the task of winning the Republican party's nomination will surely stir up a race that's not been promising too much excitement thus far.

This guy has some good ideas, but am I wrong about his never having served previously in an elected office?

George Ryan served previously as Sec of State ... and his service there qualified him to be governor?
Blago served previously as son-in-law ... and that service qualified him to be governor?
David, you can do better than this.

Anyone sick of what Illinois has offered thus far would be interested in hearing from a non-politician, especially in what could be a "throw the bums out" election in 2010.

David,
Is it that you prefer a career politician? Perhaps the problem is that we keep choosing between politicians for our elected offices.
IR Editor,
Count me in the number of those who are "sick of what Illinois has offered."

I met Adam at a Panera in northern Lake County. I knew at that moment that Adam had the will to make a real difference in the lives of the citizens of Illinois. I sensed something real and promising in him. I had conversations about Adam with friends and expressed that I thought Adam would run for office because of his sincere desire to serve.
If people have lost the ability to realize the potential of man, we don't have much hope.
Adam's one on one is not perfect (shoveling in the summer), but he strikes you with it and tells you he's not. He is determined to make Illinois open, honest and functional with conservative values, what more could you ask for?
