Guess Tony Rezko sang a pretty tune to prosecutors... The Tribune's reporting this morning:
A source said today that Gov. Rod Blagojevich was taken into federal custody at his North Side home this morning. The U.S. attorney's office would not confirm the information.
A Blagojevich spokesman said he was unaware of the development. "Haven't heard anything -- you are first to call," Lucio Guerrero said in an e-mail.
UPDATE: It's bigger than that...sort of. HEre's the complaint. Read and comment below. We're reading it, too...
It involves accusations of Blagojevich AND his Chief of Staff John Harris trying to get a Chicago Tribune editorial board member fired and more... 76 pages more!
Blagojevich is also accused of trying to make deals to fill Barack Obama's vacant U.S. Senate seat.
The complaint includes accusations of taking campaign donations for state-paid board appointments, allegations that include persons already serving prison time after either pleading guilty or being found guilty.
