Release the Ayers info

Good for Marathon Pundit blogger John Ruberry for setting up a Facebook activist group to demand the University of Illinois disclose Obama's records on his Annenberg Challenge activities with Chicago leftist professor Bill Ayers.  I signed on myself and intend to help push for the opening of those sealed records by writing the Board of Trustees. John lists the pertinent information HERE.

In joining the group, it reminded me of the drive the Chicago Tribune had to force Jack & Jeri Ryan's private child custody files open in 2004.  Those court documents were legally sealed years before.  Ryan had made his divorce records available, but sealed those involving his son's custody.  Yet the Tribune wouldn't let go until all was exposed, and an accusation during a bitter child custody dispute brought the political career of a good man to ruins.

Another day and the Trib doesn't appear as anxious to get to the truth as it was before.  The University of Illinois is taxpayer funded.  It's records are for public consumption.  They are not the private matters of a family dispute.

Release the Ayers information, U of I.   What are you hiding, and why?
