Prayers requested for Robinson Family

This morning we learned of the tragic, sudden death of Daniel Robinson, the 14 year old son of conservative Champaign News - Gazette columnist and home schooling advocate Rhonda and her husband Mike Robinson.  Daniel and his 16 year old brother Tom, along with two other teenage boys from the area, were hit broadside on their way to basketball practice near Atwood, IL Tuesday afternoon.  Tom escaped with minor injuries, but the other two boys, Schuyler (16) and Sam (12) Binion, were severely injured and continue to be hospitalized.

We will pass along information as to the arrangements as we are notified, but until then, please pray for the Robinsons over the next few days and weeks.  We will let you know the best way to express your condolences as the information is made available.

UPDATE:  The Robinson and Binion families' church has set up a blog to keep people informed about details, the survivors' condition, and more.  There is a need for financial assistance and the blog provides a number for more information on how you can help.

Heartbreaking news. Fran, I remember meeting one of the kids for the first time in Springfield, when Hannah was interning for you at the Capitol. Hannah was so smart, capable and confident, which seems to be standard Robinson form.
Terrible tragedy for the family, the local community and the homeschool community.

Many prayers for the Robinsons and for Tom's quick healing.
