Day 56: Terrorists Find Hope In 11th Cong. Dist. GOP County Chairmen

I started to erase the headline above, knowing it was just a little over-the-top in my lampooning of the 11th CD County Chairmen and knowing I am going to make some people very angry by printing it. But the more I think about it, I am not trying to be insulting, but realistic about the consequences of our political actions.

The consequences of it being now the 57th DAY without a Republican nominee in the 11th Congressional District. The 57th Day that the one group of people with the power to nominate the new candidate, do nothing. So I am going to leave it, and ask you to stop and think, is it not really true?

Nancy Pelosi has now held up the bill passed with a bi-partisan majority in the United States Senate, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), for 58 days. This is 58 days in which the United States has been blind in it's ability to monitor terrorists in their plotting to kill innocent people. 58 days of a 'Pass GO and Collect $200' card for the terrorists. Pelosi's act is one of craven politics, endangering the lives of potentially hundreds of thousands of innocent people in the pursuit of winning and sticking it to President Bush. Without this act, negotiated and approved by Senate Democrats and Republicans, our intelligence gathering agencies are electronically blind.

Debbie Halvorson, the Democratic candidate for Congress in the 11th CD ought to be challenged, and challenged and challenged, from town to town, door-to-door, street-by-street for her commitment to support Speaker Pelosi in this act that is both unpatriotic and so irresponsible that she ought to be thrown out by decent Democrats. But the Democratic Party of today, the Democratic candidates like Debbie Halvorson, are so taken with winning political power, that they would sacrifice human lives just to win.

The terrorists love them for it. The GOP County Chairmen in the 11th Congressional District are helping Halvorson along by not having a candidate. For those of you leaving comments that there is a candidate, you are wrong. Any name being floated is not a candidate, until appointed by those county chairmen. They have not yet appointed anyone. Until they do, the candidate who aids the terrorists, Debbie Halvorson, walks a free field of battle. She is winning every day that she develops campaign momentum, organization, fund raising and notoriety, because there is no Republican nominee.
