"Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire" Foster
The latest television ad from the Foster campaign is not only full of the normal half-truths and distortions that we have gotten used to seeing from them, but it is factually inaccurate.
The false claim in the ad is that somehow Jim Oberweis doesn’t support employer provided health care. However, according to the correction that ran in today’s Chicago Tribune, Foster’s charge is false. You have to read the fine print, but hey, it's there . . .
From today’s Chicago Tribune:
*A story in the Feb. 23 West edition of the Metro section mischaracterized 14th Congressional District Republican candidate Jim Oberweis' position on health care. While Oberweis advocates replacing the current employer-based health-care system with tax incentives that encourage people to buy their own insurance polices, he did not say the system should be eliminated.
Of course, Foster’s claims regarding Mr. Oberweis’ record on Social Security and military funding are also full of inaccuracies and half-truths, but the healthcare charge has been publicly reported to be incorrect.

Do we want to talk about the litany of Oberweis lies? Or why no one ever looked into the fact that the Oberweis Team repeatedly lied in direct mail, press releases and in radio ads about Lauzen's donor being a "convicted felon"? Strange how they took those press releases down and jettisoned their radio ads.

Blind,
Please go ahead and talk about the alleged litany of Obweweis lies. Let's see if you really have something or if you're just disparaging Oberweis with nonspecific hyperbole. Please address the alleged litany in bullet point format so they'll be easier to address one at a time.
