Creamer curdles "Obama Camp"

Kudos to Tom Roeser for a great piece yesterday on one of Obama's "Camp Obama" instructors last week -- longtime friend and fellow community activist convicted felon Bob Creamer, U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky's prison time-serving hubby. . .

Roeser says the revelation first appeared Obama's own blog HERE by one of this weekend's attendees who didn't know the controversial nature of Creamer's past.

This story should be national news anytime now . . . Drudge, are you watching?

Creamer taught at “Camp Obama,” a week-long summer camp last month held at the presidential candidate’s office in Chicago for campaign interns and volunteers-just a few blocks away from the federal court where on August 31, 2005 he pleaded guilty to charges of bank fraud and failure to pay federal taxes…on charges brought by U. S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald. He admitted in his 18-page signed plea agreement that he wrote checks on accounts that lacked funds and did so repeatedly as he moved money from one account to another in three banks. He had a multiple group of organizations that received money, the best known being the “Illinois Public Action Council” a left-wing group on which his wife, Jan Schakowsky, was a board member while the manipulating was going on. She was already in Congress when he pleaded guilty; she was not charged.

That's pretty bad.

Not nearly as bad as the Republican who's Louisiana coordinator admitted to using prostitutes and who's South Carolina coordinator was charged with drug crimes.

And it is not as bad as the Republican who's Florida GOP State Senate coordinator was accused of offering to have oral sex for $20.00.

And it is not nearly as bad as Romney's strange story about his former social liberalism and now social conservatism.

And it pales in comparison to the fact that the actor from Tennessee actually got paid to lobby FOR abortion.

And of course, there was no evidence that Creamer ever personally profitted from the transactions.

Nonetheless, if Sen. Obama is the nominee against anyone other than Guiliani, McCain, Romney or that abortion lobbying actor from Tennesssee, he is going to have some explaining to do.
