News that former U.S. Representative Helen Chenoweth-Hage died today in a car wreck near Tonopah, Nevada has left those in the property rights movement saddened at the great loss.
Chenoweth-Hage, 68, served in Congress representing Idaho in 1994 through 2000 when she stepped down due to a term limit she had set for herself.
Helen was a passenger with her daughter, Meg Keenan, and was reportedly holding her 5 month old grandchild. The baby and mother were not seriously injured.

Helen and her husband, Wayne Hage, were known for the extensive contribution they made in the area of property rights.
Wayne Hage, died in June after a short illness.
Helen and Wayne will be greatly missed but always remembered.
